Graphistudio workshop in italy - learning from the best

Last month I was in Italy! At a castle!

Learning from leaders in the portrait photography industry!

Graphistudio hosted 60 attendees at Castello Ceconi for three extraordinary days of learning.

Our instructors! Kara Marie teaching us to shoot low, Sue Bryce captivating us with her wisdom, Teri Hofford encouraging us to love our tummies, and Matthew Jordan Smith showing us the power of shooting close.

One of the attendees got some behind the scenes shots of me in action. Now I know why I get so tired after a shoot, I put my all into it!

The sets and models (many of them fellow photographers!) were pretty special. At my facebook and Instagram pages I go more into detail about what I learned and experienced while shooting.

I had so much fun photographing Adriana, and can’t wait to try shooting from below on clients!

We had a variety of body shapes to photograph, and when one of our plus sized models didn’t show up, Teri (our instructor) stripped down and let us take photographs of her!

Then we all stripped down to our undies and celebrated our own bodies! Teri Hofford led the way, see how, here.

When you ask a fellow attendee to take your picture on this fabulous red couch and end up with a shot like this, you know you’re in the right place! So many talented portrait business owners, including Debbie who was my travel buddy in Venice and who became a dear friend!

I bookended the workshop with four days in Venice, whose beauty took my breath away.

Thank you for taking this journey to Italy with me. If you’re a photographer and considering investing in your education, perhaps you will be next to learn at the castle. I hope so!

Arrivederci!
