BODY BLISS

There’s a body of research that says many diseases such as heart disease and cancer are not caused by genes, but rather lifestyle choices. Nutrition, exercise, exposure to toxins, blocked emotions, stress. So this leads someone who has (or has had) one of these diseases to assume that they’re to blame for their disease. Which results in shame. Heartbreaking shame and guilt.

We can either sit in these feelings and further damage our bodies, or we can choose to take action and figure out our best path towards healing and future wellbeing.

After my journey of a cancer diagnosis and treatment, I dove head on into discovering the healing path that would work best for me. This led me to different forms of energy work (Jin Shin Jyutsu, Reiki, and Qigong). I also upped my yoga practice and returned to dance. My body is loving this and thanks me daily!

So what does this have to do with the photos I’m showing?

I’ve gathered some of my favorite images that I’ve taken over the years, which help ME return to a feeling of BODY BLISS. Those are the closest words I can think of to describe how my body feels after a session of qigong, a session of yoga, or a dance class. I look at these photos and my body relaxes. Even in stillness I feel a movement of energy within, and this is what healing is all about.
